Pricing Your Product or Service
Have you ever thought how much you charge is how much you make? I used to live with this thinking and let me tell you it can cause a lot of grief. If you are a business owner, whether it’s a service you provide or a product you sell, you need re evaluate.
All those days I used to daydream during math class thinking I would never use those skills. Then comes tax season. Cue the freak out!
I had a call with a business mentor that asked me if I went to school or took courses online or went to workshops. The answer was yes. She asked me if I had gear that would eventually need replacing. I said yes. Finally she asked me how many jobs I wanted to be contracted for every month. I definitely had an answer for that considering I knew what it felt like to be over worked.
All of these things need to be added to your packages when pricing yourself.
1. Experience
2. Gear to be replaced
3. Rent
4. Expenses
5. Equipment that will eventually need replacing
The list goes on!
If you do not factor for every single little thing you will spin your wheels and your well will run dry until you give up.
So I highly recommend getting really nitty gritty when it comes to every single thing that comes out of your bank account, then plan for your future, then add tax. My friend, you need to know your worth!
